Ears, nose and throat
Since the ear, nose and throat (ENT) region is yet to fully develop, ear infections, runny noses, sore throats and sinusitis are common among ear, nose and throat problems among children. These areas can be aggravated by allergies, viruses and bacteria, causing infections to occur more often.
What are the signs to look out for?
- Sneezing
- Coughing
- Itchy eyes
- Runny or stuffy nose
- Earache
- Sore throat
- Difficulty swallowing
- Hoarse voice
No matter what troubles your little one is facing, Dr Böcking can assist in the treatment and management of ear, nose and throat conditions, testing for allergies that trigger these infections and learning how best to manage infections. Your paediatrician can also assess your child and determine whether or not anything else may be aggravating these infections, such as tonsillitis, asthma, sleep apnea or a deviated septum, and see if there is a need for grommets.
